I don’t know why. I’ve always been automatically drawn to people with scars. And I always become excited when I’m told about scars that aren’t noticeable to the naked eye. I love hearing the stories behind them, and watching people grow stronger from not so kosher events.
When I was younger, my dad wasn’t home a lot due to working 45 minutes away, but whenever he was home before I was asleep, I’d make him tell me about how he got the scar under his chin. The story always fascinated me.
I used to have the coolest scar on the back of my calf muscle. I was actually disappointed when it faded away. But I do have many tiny little burn marks from various baking incidents/fire pits/lightbulb accidents, and I think they are so cool.
